Email Notifications

SMP shall be required to send email notifications to the users at various events and stages of user on-boarding and transaction cycle. The events when an email notification should be sent along with the content requirement are as follows. The content of the emails is as prescribed in Annexure D:

A customer was suspended

  • If applicable, next steps that Customer should take to resolve issue

A transfer was initiated

  • Transaction reference number

  • SMP’s customer support contact info

transaction_failed

Transaction failed to clear successfully. Usually this is a result of an ACH failure (insufficient funds, etc.)

transaction_canceled

A pending transfer has been canceled, and will not process further

Funds have been delivered to the recipient

A tier upgrade request was approved

A user is placed under KYC manual review

  • The KYC information provided by the user is under verification

document_requested

Additional document has been requested from the user for the purpose of verification

  • The user should be requested to provide the document

  • The user should be provided the ways in which the document can be provided, viz. through the user dashboard or via SMP

retry_requested

A user is required to re-check the information provided for verification and update information as necessary for verification

  • The user is required to re-verify information provided by the user during verification and update any information as necessary

  • The user should be provided the ways in which the information can be updated
